SUMMARY:Excursion to Canon
DESCRIPTION:Canon is a global leader in consumer and professional printing. High-volume printers that can reach up to 200 meter of printed paper per minute are undoubtedly high-tech systems. The Canon Production printing branch employs about 3100 people\, of whom around 1900 work in Venlo. \nDuring the excursion\, we will see a demonstration of one of the machines\, receive a presentation about a day in the life at Canon\, and get a tour through the Research & Development department. Finally\, we will close the day off with a “borrel”. \nIt will start around 13:00 and end around 17:00\, excluding travel time. A bus will be arranged from the TU/e campus. A more detailed timing will follow later\, but including travel it will likely be from 11:45 – 18:15. \nThis excursion is free. Mimir members will get priority over non members. There is a maximum of 30 spots available on this excursion\, additional registrations will be put on a waiting list. Cancelling after the deadline without valid reason will result in a 10 € penalty.\nRegistration has closed.
